Finding Your Voice: JD Takes the Hot Seat

JD takes the Hot Seat to share his incredible journey of resilience and asks the room how to launch his new writing coaching program.
Everyone has a story inside them. JD's story is one of incredible resilience, and now he's helping others find and share theirs.
This week, JD took the Hot Seat to share his journey from a tough childhood to becoming a published author. Now, he's launching a new coaching program called Written Deep Within to help others unlock their own stories through writing.
But having a great program is one thing, knowing how to build the business structure around it is another.
The Challenge: Getting the Word Out
JD asked the room for advice on how to market and package his three new writing programs, from an 8-week immersive experience to smaller, bite-sized sessions. He has the passion, the skills, and the proof, but needed help with the structure to get clients in the door.
The Advice: Packaged with Passion
The room had a lot of great ideas:
Lead with transformation: Martin suggested leading with the most in-depth program, as clients are looking for real results and transformation, not just quick fixes.
Embrace the free session: Chris and Raul discussed the value of a 20-minute "clarity call." It’s a great way to offer value, build trust, and see if you're a good fit. Just make sure to capture testimonials along the way!
Share your story: Everyone agreed that JD's personal journey is his superpower. They encouraged him to use his own life as proof that the system works.
Think outside the box: Chris recommended local workshops at libraries or bookstores to get in front of people, practice his pitch, and build a warm audience.
Leverage AI: Raul and Martin encouraged JD to use AI tools to streamline the back-end work, like building workbooks or creating content, so he can focus on coaching.
The Takeaway: Keep It Simple
At the end of the session, AJ delivered a powerful reminder: Don't overcomplicate it. He encouraged JD to refine his pitch until it’s as easy to say as his own name.
JD left with a clear next step: create a simple, focused pitch, start offering clarity calls, and capture those first testimonials.
We're so excited to see JD's next chapter!
